Minnesota Legislative Session Begins
Minnesota lawmakers are back in St. Paul for a session that is later than usual and is expected to be quicker than usual as well.
House members are meeting in the still under construction Capitol.
Access is being limited to nearly 300 people in the domed building at one time, that includes the 134 house members and their staffs.
Lawmakers are continuing the work of last year and will take up a couple of other issues including compliance with the federal Real ID act.
They will also consider an extension of unemployment benefits for thousands of laid–off Iron Range workers.
