Becker County Deputy Has Close Call at Traffic Stop

A Becker County Sheriff’s Deputy is lucky to be alive after he is nearly hit by a car during a traffic stop.

The deputy stopped a car on U-S Hwy 59 near Westbury this morning and was talking with the driver when he saw a car swerving towards him.

The deputy misses getting hit and the stopped vehicle was not damaged.

The sheriff’s office did not release the deputy’s name.

They do ask everyone to slow down when it’s icy and make room for emergency vehicles.
