Great Rides BikeShare Kicks off Second Season!
The green bikes are back in town.
Great Rides Bike Share has officially reopened for its second season.
Crews started placing bikes and reopening docking stations in downtown Fargo and on the NDSU campus this morning.
NDSU students can use their student ID cards to check out bikes for 30 minutes for an unlimited number of uses.
Despite last year’s overwhelming response, organizers say the program will stay the same in size.
“We have 11 stations and also 100 bikes right now. We’re still new, it’s still new in this area. So we learned a lot last year, were excited to learn more from this year. We’re excited to engage our student users, as well as our community users. We’re just excited to see what will happen this year, and hopefully we can break our record from last year,” said Sara Watson Curry Director of Operations at Great Rides Bike Share.
You can rent the bikes through November.
Bike Share had 140,000 rides during last season.
