Crookston Man Pleads Not Guilty to Manslaughter

A Crookston man makes his first court appearance on manslaughter charges.

28-year-old Brock Strommen pleaded not guilty to all three charges filed against him by a grand jury.

The charges are the result of the death of 36-year-old John Torres of East Grand Forks.

Police received a report that Torres was assaulted outside a Crookston bar on Christmas.

He died on New Year’s Day.

Strommen will be back in court in May.
