ND Democrats Want Budget Woes Addressed
North Dakota Democratic leaders want a special session to address the state’s budget woes.
Senate Minority Leader Mac Schneider says he believes a “very brief, very focused” session would help lawmakers make a plan to weather the effects of money problems due primarily to low oil and crop prices.
The Grand Forks Democrat says there was no strategy involved in Gov. Dalrymple’s across-the-board budget cuts.
Schneider says some individuals and groups should be spared from the cuts.
