Woodrow Wilson High School Students Throw Carnival for Pre-K Kids

High schoolers team up to throw a carnival for their younger classmates.

Students at Woodrow Wilson High School hosted a variety of fun carnival events for kids in the Evenstart program and Early Childhood Special Ed.

Kids tried everything from bowling to fishing.

Teachers say the carnival helps students of all ages learn.

“We push for collaborative learning, and this is a way for each program to kind of get a lesson,” says teacher David Woods. “We have the high school kids working with little kids and we have the little kids working with the high school, so it’s a chance for everybody to get out and have some fun.”

Organizers say the carnival helps students learn the value of community service and helps strengthen their communication skills.
