What You Need to Know: 13th Avenue Reconstruction Begins Thursday

If you regularly take 13th Avenue South in Fargo,  you will need to allow a little extra time to reach your destination.

Phase one of the reconstruction project on 13th Avenue South stretching from the 1-29 interchange to 45th Street will begin tomorrow morning starting at 6 am.

As workers begin removing the center median, traffic flow will be reduced to one lane of in each direction.

“There will be increased delays during this period, so this first phase is expected to last two to three weeks then after that instead of having people on the north and side south we’ll shift everybody to the south, and we’ll start tearing up the north side,” said Jeremy Gorden City Transportation Engineer.

The city of Fargo says this is expected to be one of biggest road construction projects this year.
