Child Porn Trial Facing Possible Delay for Person of Interest in Wetterling Disappearance
Attorneys for a man authorities have called a person of interest in the 1989 kidnapping of Jacob Wetterling are trying to suppress evidence that led to his being charged with possession of child porn.
Danny Heinrich of Annandale has pleaded not guilty.
The 53-year-old is due to go on trial in July, but the judge said during a hearing this morning that the date might get pushed back.
Heinrich is not charged in the disappearance of Jacob and he has denied any involvement.
Investigators found child porn in Heinrich’s home while pursuing leads in the kidnapping case.
