North Dakota Confirms First Zika Virus Case
North Dakota has its first confirmed case of the Zika virus.
Health Department officials say it involved a woman who traveled to Puerto Rico while pregnant.
Her name and location are not being released.
Officials say no Zika-related problems have been identified in the woman’s baby.
The Zika virus can cause a severe birth defect in which babies are born with abnormally small heads.
It is spread by mosquitoes and sexual contact.
