Teens Test Drive Virtual Reality Texting and Driving Simulator
West Fargo high school kids got an eerie look at what it’s really like when you text and drive.
Students got behind the wheel in a fully immersive virtual reality texting and driving simulator, complete with special goggles.
The simulator is touring the country and is designed to show students just how bad your driving is when you try to text at the same time.
Brian Jenkins, AT&T Manager, says, “Take the lessons you’ve learned today, and the experience, and share it with your friends. It can wait. We want you to live a long happy life.”
AT&T, which puts on the demonstrations at schools across the country, says 7 in 10 people use their smartphone while behind the wheel.
