Former UND Medical Chairman Sentenced

A former UND medical department chairman has been sentenced on child porn charges.

Judge Ralph Erickson ordered Robert Beattie to serve 12 years in prison and he was ordered to pay $10,000 to victims in the case.

Beattie had earlier pleaded guilty to two child porn charges.

Authorities say he had about 3,200 images and 100 videos of child porn.
