Teen Playing Pokemon Go Dies After Being Hit By Pickup

A 14–year–old Thief River Falls teen playing Pokemon Go on his bike Monday night has died at a Fargo hospital.

Police say Gannon Hejlik was hit by a pickup near the intersection of Greenwood and Oakland Park Road.

The pickup was driven by 52 year-old Tammy Johnson of Thief River Falls.

Charges have not been filed.

Gannon was taken to Sanford in Thief River before he was life–flighted to Fargo where he later died.

Friends are sharing condolences on Gannon’s Facebook page.

His classmates are planning a vigil tomorrow night at 7 o’clock at Hartz Park.
