Victim in Officer-Involved Shooting Identified

We now know the identity of a man killed in an officer involved shooting in Alexandria on Tuesday.

He was 31-year-old Adam Klimek.

Police say Klimek was told he was under arrest by agents of the BCA when he grabbed a knife and charged at them.

Two of the three agents, Beth Eilers and Dustin Vanderhagen, opened fire and Klimek was killed.

The agents were conducting an undercover operation involving the solicitation of minors.

Klimek was on probation for criminal sexual conduct involving a person under 13.

The BCA requested the St. Paul Police Department handle the investigation into the shooting and it is ongoing.
