Chase Suspect Who Eluded Authorities in Cornfield Arrested

A man who escaped a traffic stop by running into a cornfield has been arrested.

27-year-old Andrew Hanson of Fargo was located last night.

A trooper tried to pull Hanson over around noon on Saturday on suspicion that he was involved in an earlier hit and run in Moorhead.

After a chase, Hanson got out of the vehicle and fled on foot into a cornfield near the Clay/Norman County line.

A female passenger was arrested on a warrant.

Hanson is jailed for fleeing police, possession of a controlled substance and an arrest warrant is out for him in Cass County for failing to complete drug rehab.
