Cass County Authorities Helping with Protest

Cass County Sheriff’s Office is sending a dozen deputies to the protest site after the Morton County Sheriff requested additional support.

In a Facebook post, Cass County Sheriff Paul Laney can be seen serving as Deputy Incident Commander.

He said: “Our job is to protect the people of ALL sides involved and that is what we are going to do.”

Officers have also been sent from Grand Forks, West Fargo and other departments.

The additional officers will be supplementing aid at the protest sites.
