A Look Inside the First Ever Bison Football Eve
Bison fans are pre–pre–gaming for Saturday’s season opener at the first ever Bison Football Eve event.
“I don’t think it’s ever too early to start celebrating for college football and judging by the size of the crowd at the first ever Bison Football Eve event I would say NDSU fans feel the same way,” says Bison Fan Kim Hashbarger.
To say spirits are high here would be an understatement.
Bison fans old, young and nonhuman are packed into the lot behind the OB for the celebration.
“This is awesome that they do things like this. People getting together and having a good time celebrating our Bisons,” says one eager fan.
Of course celebrating can’t get in the way of prepping for Saturday’s tailgate.
“Of course, food is ready, and my kids are coming up and we’re all set,” says Bison fan Jenifer Grieve.
If that’s all settled it’s time to enjoy the live band, outdoor bars, food trucks, bounce houses, and if you have time, stop by the mobile book store and grab some Bison gear.
This is an extra exciting night for Wendy Volsen who has two sons on the football team.
“Very excited. A little nervous but excited. He’s worked for many years. From nine man schools so he’s put in a lot of extra time on his own so I’m very proud of him,” says Volsen.
Kickoff is Saturday at 6:30 pm tailgating events open at 1:00 pm in the reserved lots and 1:30 pm for general admission.
