Community Hosts Benefit for a Moorhead Police Officer Battling Cancer

Hundreds of friends, family, and law enforcement members are supporting Moorhead officer Brad Schenck.

A pasta feed, silent auction, and free will donations were held to support Schenck after he was diagnosed with brain cancer three months ago.

He says people are giving him more than just financial help.

People are volunteering to do things like mow his lawn, babysit, and help around the house.

“I feel totally loved, from my friends and family, the community coming together for me, it’s truly amazing,” said Schenck.
