Native American Commission Supports Pipeline Protestors
A new voice lends support to protestors at the Dakota Access Oil Pipeline site.
The Fargo Native American Commission says it’s declaring friendship and support for its North Dakota relatives.
In a statement, the commission says the pipeline would endanger the health of Mother Earth, quality of water, ancestral lands, and future generation of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
The commission says it supports efforts to keep the pipeline from crossing tribal lands, and hopes for a peaceful solution to the controversy.
