Clinic Helps Families Learn to Live with Dementia
Eventide Senior Living Community hosts an informational meeting for families who have a loved one with dementia.
A panel of specialists gave families information on what dementia is and what it means to have the terminal condition.
They explained ways for families to handle the challenges the disease can create for the person diagnosed as well as those around them.
“We’re going to give them hope and resources to help them take care of their family whether their family member resides with them in a facility. We’re going to look at options of different types of care for their loved ones,” says Medical Director of Hospice of the Red River Valley Trisha Langlois.
If you missed the event, there will be another similar event held by Hospice of the Red River Valley in Grand Forks on Thursday.
