Tips On Watching Out for Ticket Scams

The Better Business Bureau says popular events like Vikings games make people vulnerable to ticket scamming.

The agency has seen trends in ticket scamming at high demand events because buyers are really excited to make the purchase.

They say to check the privacy policy of vendors to see if you’re protected against scams.

Prices that are too good to be true or services that require wiring money are a red flag.

Using a credit card instead of other payment options has the most protection.

“The first thing a consumer should know is use trusted sources for buying your tickets.  Go to the Vikings webpage, the Vikings have an app.  Secondary sources don’t have the same protections,” says Lisa Jemtrud of the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota & North Dakota.

Vikings tickets are no longer printed on the traditional ticket stub.

The BBB also wants to remind you that buying and selling tickets outside of the new U.S. Bank Stadium is not allowed.
