AT&T Donates $10,000 to YWCA
AT&T Minnesota is making a big donation to the YWCA Cass Clay for their workforce training program for homeless women.
A $10,000 check was presented in a ceremony held at the Y’s Emergency Shelter.
In addition to representatives from AT&T, State Senator Kent Eken and State Representative Ben Lien were present for the ceremony.
YWCA leaders say this donation will go a long way in helping their growing client base.
“Anytime an influx of $10,000 comes into an organization regardless of its size it makes a significant contribution,” said YWCA Director Erin Rochnow. “In this particular case it means more women and children will have opportunities for education and employment and ultimately be on a path to independence.”
