Walking For Down Syndrome at Scheels Arena

The Scheels Arena was packed this morning for the 4th Annual GiGi’s Walk & Fest.

Teams were there to show support for someone they love with Down Syndrome.

Each team walked three laps around the arena while kids enjoyed games and activities.

Over 1,000 people came out to show their support for 50 guests of honor with Down Syndrome.

“People with Down Syndrome are more like us than they are different and that kind of what we’re here to prove. They are strong members in our community and they have jobs and they have skill and they can live a normal life like anybody else,” says GiGi’s Playhouse Event Coordinate Tahnee Ruud.
