Eugene Dahl Awarded Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award
The late North Dakota businessman, Eugene Dahl, was bestowed the state’s highest honor by Governor Dalrymple.
Dahl’s family accepted the Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award on his behalf at the Sanctuary Events Center in Downtown Fargo.
A number of notable North Dakota businessmen spoke on behalf of Dahl at the event.
They focused on not only his achievement in business but also on his character.
“It’s a day of celebration. It’s a day of just a lot of family and friends remembering what a special person he was. It’s a celebratory day,” said Eugene Dahl’s son, Howard Dahl.
Dahl was chosen for the award because of his great contributions to North Dakota business, creating thousands of manufacturing jobs in the state.
