Cooperstown Cyclist Injured in Crash with Truck

A Cooperstown, North Dakota man is in a Fargo hospital after getting hit while biking.

The accident happened Wednesday afternoon in Griggs County.

Authorities say 67-year-old Leslie Ronningen was riding along County Road 19 when he was hit from behind by a truck driven by Rick Rahlf of Cooperstown.

Rahlf said he hit the brakes and tried to avoid the collision but couldn’t.

Ronningen was flown to Essentia in Fargo with life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
