Fargodome Hosts Career Expo for Regional High School Freshmen
High school freshmen from around the region took a break from classes to look at careers in health, tech and trades.
The 14th annual career expo was held at the Fargodome for students from 47 schools both public and private.
The career fair identified jobs that require two year or technical degrees.
Many of the booths were interactive.
“Anything that needs a two year trade degree is hurting desperately for workers,” said Jenny Erickson of the Home Builders Association. “So if we can show them that there are great career opportunities out there the better they’ll be to explore those later on once they graduate.”
Some of the companies that attended the event were John Deere, Essentia Health and RDO Equipment.
