The Herd Faces Short Turnaround; Eyes Sixth Trip to Frisco

The Bison football team is one game away from its sixth straight trip to Frisco.

If NDSU is going to make it back to Texas, it will have do to so on a short week of preparation.

In four of the Bison’s last five FCS championships, NDSU has had to play in the semifinals on a Friday night and they’re doing that same thing again this year.

Chris Klieman’s team will host James Madison Friday night at 6 o’clock from the Fargodome.

It will also serve as another unofficial ‘Senior Day’, and the Herd has a blueprint to follow.

In the four previous semifinals held on Friday night, NDSU has outscored its opponents 143 to 44.

That’s an average of a 35 to 11 win.

Coach Klieman says the week does pose challenges though.

“Our coaches have to have the game plans ready a little bit quicker. We’re in there probably a little bit later at night trying to make sure that we cover every scenario,” said Coach. “Usually, this is the extra day you get on Monday. well, we don’t have that day now. So we have to really be efficient with our time.”

James Madison is coming into the Fargodome with as much momentum as any team in recent memory.

So what impresses Coach Klieman the most about the Dukes?
