On arrival they found the home was destroyed.

One female was pronounced dead at the scene.

A male and another female were transported to a Bismarck hospital, and the male was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Morton County Sheriff Kyle Kirchmeier says a neighbor called 911 shortly after midnight to report what he thought was an explosion so powerfull it shook his house.

The sheriff’s office and the state fire marshal are investigating the cause, but Kirchmeier says it appears to be propane related.

There was no fire. The sheriff says debris was scattered for 100 feet or more from where the home had stood. A female was dead at the scene. A male and another female were taken to a Bismarck hospital, where the male died.

Morton County Sheriff’s Department, Mandan Rural Fire and Metro Ambulance all responded.
