NDSCS Celebrating 20 Years in Fargo
North Dakota State College of Science in Fargo is celebrating its 20th year in the community.
State officials, local commissioners, the mayors of Fargo and West Fargo, along with former Governor Ed Schafer, attended the event to show their support.
The school has played a big part in educating new Americans and teaching trades such as nursing and manufacturing.
“There was a need for a workforce in particular areas of industry and we created that for them at that time,” said NDSCS President John Richman. “And we will continue to listen to business and industry and our curriculum will be driven by what the demand in the workforce is.”
The event closed with a commemorative ribbon cutting by the special guests.
