Over $70,000 Raised for the Salvation Army in Competition
The results of the annual competition between law enforcement, realtors, and firefighters to raise money for the Salvation Army are in.
For the second year in a row, REALTORS took the prize raising $39,747, just shy of their $40,000 goal.
Between all three groups, over $70,000 were raised over the three days of bell ringing.
This competition has been running for five years and the REALTORS say they’re happy to help out.
“We just have great numbers, we have great participation as well as our affiliates involved with FMAAR as well so it’s really just about the spirit of giving back and we do a great job of circling around and helping each other,” says Shane Cullen with FMAAR.
The Salvation Army says they’re still looking for people to volunteer before Christmas.
