“Day Of Compassion” at Lincoln Elementary School
A group of local high school students paired up with fourth graders to teach them about compassion.
Twenty Fargo South High School leaders spent their day at Lincoln Elementary School playing team–building games as well as trust activities.
Some of the activities included guessing games using Play–Doh and building a puzzle together.
The Day of Compassion is aimed to build compassion and respect for one and other.
“It helps build our positive school culture here at Lincoln. In guidance when we go into the classrooms we try to focus a lot of our lessons on empathy and compassion so it really goes along with it really well,” said Amy Blesie who is the counselor at Lincoln Elementary School.
Teachers said this day is meant to teach kids about having good character.
Tomorrow, fifth graders at Lincoln Elementary School will hold their day of compassion.
