Grand Forks Man Arrested for Terrorizing

After getting pepper sprayed, Asaiah Scott continued to fight officers just before being arrested

GRAND FORKS, ND — Police in Grand Forks arrested a man who they say fought them with a knife.

Officers say 23-year-old Asaiah Scott was walking along the 600 block of 2nd Avenue North near Central High School around 10:30 last night.

Police were called to the scene after reports of terrorizing.

When they arrived, Scott pulled out a knife.

After getting pepper sprayed, he continued to fight officers just before being arrested.

Lt. Macki says he’s glad only less than lethal force had to be used.

“Fortunately, in this situation, the officers felt they had the tactical advantage and were able to try a lesser form of force,” he said.

Scott is charged with terrorizing and assault.
