Fargo’s Uncorked Closing After Seven Years

By the bottle or by the batch, it is your last opportunity to purchase custom domestic wines from Uncorked in Fargo

FARGO, ND — By the bottle or by the batch, it is your last opportunity to purchase custom domestic wines from Uncorked in Fargo.

The winery is selling the rest of the store’s inventory and closing for good on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Uncorked offers nearly 40 wines made on site and encourages customers to sample the wines for free.

Along with making delicious drinks over the past seven years, the owner has built a strong relationship with the community.

“The biggest step was to let my customers know that I was closing. I’m not going to make wine for you anymore,” said owner Kathy Swiontek. “So that took a while to get my mind wrapped around that and to get over the fact that just because I’m closing doesn’t mean that I failed.”

Swiontek had hoped another buyer could take over the store.

But she didn’t find one and the space has been leased.
