Countdown is on for Opening of Sanford’s New Hospital

The land the medical center was built on along I-94 was bought way back in 1998

FARGO, ND — Opening day is now just two weeks away.

The nearly $500 million state-of-the-art Sanford Medical Center in south Fargo begins operating on July 25.

That is the day staff will attend to their first patients in the new hospital

Sanford began planning the new center eight years ago and construction began five years ago.

Visitors who got a look at the hospital during an open house in June said they were impressed by the state of the art technology for research and procedures.
