KULM, ND — Some people in Kulm, North Dakota are worried that a cult leader is moving into their small town.

The new owners of the former Kulm High School are the daughter and son-in-law of white supremacist Pastor Gordon Winrod.

He served about 10 years in a Missouri prison for kidnapping his grandchildren from their home near Edgeley and moving them to Missouri in the 1990’s.

He was released from prison in 2012.

Shannon Maresh, a sister of the kidnapping victims, says she fears that Winrod may be trying to re-establish his cult in Kulm.
