Good Deeds Bring Sweet Rewards at YWCA’s Chocolate Fantasy Fundraiser

Local police officials, city leaders and clubs from local universities dished up the sweets and heat from donations of 100 local eateries in the area

FARGO, ND — The YWCA believes that doing a good deed brings a sweet reward.

The YWCA of Cass Clay hosted their 34th annual Chocolate Fantasy and Chili fundraiser at the Delta by Marriott in Fargo over lunch.

Local police officials, city leaders and clubs from local universities dished up the sweets and heat from donations of 100 local eateries in the area.

People enjoyed a chocolate fountain, several desserts and hot bowls of chili with all the fixings that goes towards funding the YWCA’s emergency shelter and housing programs.

“We’re available to women and children 365 days a year, 24 hours a day and so, today, by coming out and enjoying and indulging a little, your support goes a long way in providing safety and security,” said Erin Prochnow

If you missed the event and would like to help, you can donate any amount to the YWCA.

It costs $44 a day for one night of safe shelter.
