Fargo Police Investigating Assault and Robbery at Baymont Inn and Suites

Police said it happened around one o'clock this morning

FARGO, ND — A man was assaulted and robbed at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Fargo.

Police said it happened around one o’clock this morning.

The victim, who was a hotel guest, was robbed by several men in his hotel room, taking his wallet and hotel key.

Police said one of the robbers may have been armed.

The victim needed medical attention and was taken to a local hospital.

His injuries were not considered life threatening.

“It doesn’t appear that there is a threat to anybody at that hotel or the public, however, it’s still important to make sure that you’re not opening your door for random people or for anybody that you don’t know,” said Fargo Police Officer Jessica Schindeldecker, “and you’re making sure that you have your room locked as well when you’re in there.”

Police say at this time it does not appear the victim and suspects knew each other.
