Class AAA Championship: West Fargo wins First State Title Since 2003

FARGO, N.D. — West Fargo capped off an undefeated season downing Minot in the Dakota Bowl 56-28. The Packers got on the board first in the opening quarter with a Jared Franek two-yard touchdown run.

The Magi scored the next two touchdowns of the game to take a 14-6 lead, but West Fargo answered back. Tanner Zepeda caught a 19-yard touchdown pass from Andy Gravdahl to cut the deficit to 14-12.

The Packers trailed 21-20 at halftime.

In the second half West Fargo took over. Franek scored on the ground twice more in the half and Joe Pistorius hauled in a 30 yard touchdown catch to seal the victory for West Fargo. This is the Packers first state title since 2003.
