Police: Eden Prairie Center Mall Lock Down Initiated by Sporting Goods Customer
Eden Prairie Center was locked down around midday

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — A mall in Eden Prairie re-opened just after noon after being locked down briefly on a report of a person with a weapon.
Police determined it was just a man who carried a gun case into a sporting goods store in search of service on his gun.
Eden Prairie Center was locked down around midday.
Police said when the man was told that location had no gun services, he left the mall.
Eden Prairie Center has 120 stores and restaurants, an 18-screen movie theater and an indoor play area.
It’s located about 10 miles southwest of Minneapolis.
