West Fargo Mayor Rich Mattern: “We Have to Do Something”

The project is expected to take two years to complete and cost about $55 million

WEST FARGO, ND — Construction work has been approved to begin on the Sheyenne Street Reconstruction Project.

“We have to do something,” Mayor Rich Mattern said. “We cannot wait years down the road.”

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has given final approval for the project.

The project is expected to take two years to complete and cost about $55 million.

West Fargo Mayor Rich Mattern says the project includes a completely re-designed interchange at Interstate 94.

The project will be paid for with special assessments and sales tax money.

The state will pay 100% of the interchange costs.
