MSUM Dance Marathon Hosts Holiday Blood Drive

A blood drive was hosted by MSUM Dance Marathon and United Blood Services

MOORHEAD, Minn. — Students at MSUM are helping save lives this holiday season by donating blood.

A blood drive was hosted by MSUM Dance Marathon and United Blood Services.

UBS hosts blood drives throughout the community nearly every day to keep up with the supply needed for the 70 hospitals in the area that they support.

During the holidays, UBS says they see a 40% decrease in donors coming in to give blood.

“All donations are essential. During the holiday seasons, with people out traveling, wanting to see family, the risk increases so the amount of blood we need also increases,” said UBS Donor Recruitment Manager, Matt Walstad.
