Xcel Energy Crews Rebuild Pole After Power Outage in Fargo

The outage was reported after 9 p.m. and was restored to the last of the nearly 6,000 customers affected seven hours later

 

FARGO, ND — Xcel Energy crews worked through the night to restore power after an outage that hit parts of south Fargo.

Initial reports indicated the outage was caused by a power pole that caught on fire and burned through feeder wires.

Line crews had to rebuild the top of the pole.

The outage was reported after 9 p.m. and was restored to the last of the nearly 6,000 customers affected seven hours later.
