Discussions Underway to Possibly Change Biking and Walking Paths in the Area
Fargo is also planning to get an interactive map of all the bike routes in town
REGIONAL — Some changes could be coming to biking and walking paths across the metro.
The Metro Bicycle and Planning Committee met this afternoon to discuss which ones are a higher priority for maintenance or snow removal.
Fargo is also planning to get an interactive map of all the bike routes in town.
Right now only Moorhead has one.
It’s all part of an initiative to get Fargo-Moorhead recognized again as a bronze level, bicycle friendly community.
“Pedestrian and bicycle activity is a very healthy option for getting around so the more we can provide for the public the healthier our community will be,” Dan Farnsworth, who is the Metro COG Transportation Planner, said.
The Metropolitan Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee meets every three months and today marked their 100th meeting.
