Valley City, N.D. (KFGO) – A 15-year-old was hurt after a pickup participating in a pickup pull event at the North Dakota Winter Show went through an arena wall last night in Valley City.

The highway patrol says the pickup, pulling a skid vehicle, was making a pass and traveling from west to east across the arena.

At the east end of the arena the pickup hit a large tire buffer, went through a wall and then onto the east concourse.

The 15-year-old and a 33-year-old woman, walking on the concourse, were struck.

The teenager was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.

The woman, the 19-year-old Gardner man driving the pickup and the 23-year-old Valley City skid vehicle driver were not hurt.
