Moorhead Hosts First Farmers Market of the Summer
People have the chance to stock up on all kinds of fresh, locally grown and handmade items
MOORHEAD, Minn. —The Moorhead Center Mall is kicking off summer with its first Farmers Market of the season.
People had the chance to stock up on all kinds of fresh, locally grown and handmade items. Vendors sold anything from their fresh vegetables to baked goods, pet products and hand-crafted pieces.
Barry Olsen, a honey vendor, says the best part is having a place to share his unique products with the community.
“Creamed honey, a lot of people don’t see it,” Olsen said. “I don’t know if you don’t see too much of it in the stores here in Fargo-Moorhead, something I grew up with and letting people know that that old time food is good, too. So these old timers had some good stuff.”
The Moorhead Famers Market is held every Tuesday between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. The event runs through September 25th in the Moorhead Center Mall parking lot.
