NDSU Gives Back to Community Through Serve With the Herd

Over 10 volunteer opportunities within the community were available to students, faculty, and alumni

FARGO–NDSU is giving back to the Fargo community through its first Serve with the Herd service project day during Homecoming Week.

Over 10 volunteer opportunities within the community were available to students, faculty, and alumni.

Groups of volunteers rotated from local non-profit organizations starting at 8:30 this morning.

Volunteers lent a hand by washing windows and pulling weeds at Bethany Retirement Living.

“Serve with the Herd really fulfills the purpose that I think NDSU stands for,” NDSU student and volunteer Olivia Berg said. “It makes me feel very proud to be part of NDSU and the fact that we get so involved with our community and we’re willing to give back.”

Close to 150 people volunteered with Serve with the Herd until 4:30 this afternoon.
