Scammers Target West Fargo’s Sheyenne High School And Local Businesses

WEST FARGO, N.D. — Sheyenne High School is being associated with a scam targeting area businesses.

West Fargo School District officials say a company claiming to be Sports Media Marketing encourages the businesses to pay hundreds of dollars for marketing at sporting events, on t-shirts and billboards.

The school district says it is not a legitimate offer associated with the district, or any of their schools, teams or staff.

The scammer’s phone number is tied to similar scams involving high schools and businesses across the country.
