RDO Presents “Caters Taters” Check Worth Over $83,300 to Great Plains Food Bank
RDO's Caters Taters for Charity has been going on for 19 years
FARGO, N.D. — RDO presented a check of the proceeds from last week’s “Caters Taters for Charity” to the Great Plains Food Bank.
RDO raised over $83,300 at the event and all of the money will go towards fighting hunger.
Caters Taters included a potato lunch, raffle, and door prizes. RDO is the largest potato grower in North America.
Caters Taters has raised nearly $600,000 for local charities since 2000.
“Seeing the number and knowing the work that it’s going to help Great Plains do is just really rewarding,” Jessi Zenker, communications specialist for RDO, said.
“This is wonderful. I just did the very quick math, and that allows us to provide 240,000+ meals for hungry people,” Marcia Paulson, chief development officer for the Great Plains Food Bank, said.
This is the 19th year RDO Caters Taters for Charity has been held.
