Police, Community Remember Officer Jason Moszer Three Years After His Death
Moszer was killed in a standoff on Feb. 11, 2016
FARGO, N.D. — It’s been three years since Fargo Police officer Jason Moszer was taken from our community.
Fargo Police held a special, remembrance ceremony to honor their fallen brother right outside their headquarters downtown. Chief David Todd says there are some moments in life you can never forget and Jason Moszer’s death will always be one of them for those in Fargo-Moorhead. He says it’s impossible to carry only one thing about Moszer with him every day.
“It’s the loss of the guy who used to get dressed right next to me in the locker room, it’s the loss and my responsibility to the family of Jason Moszer and continuing to keep his memory alive. It’s the responsibility I have to the officers that work the street everyday,” Todd said.
The department keeps in regular contact with Moszer’s family. Chief Todd says he can’t thank the community enough for the support the department always receives.
