MONDAY MATCH: Erika And Cora

Erika And Cora Are A School-Based Match

In this week’s Monday Match, we are putting the spotlight on Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Village Family Service Center’s school-based mentoring program. Volunteer Bigs go into their Little’s school for an hour a week to have lunch and play games.
Meet Erika and Cora, who are starting their second school year together.
· They meet once a week over lunch, and end each meeting by taking a picture together, usually with a Snapchat filter.
· They like to paint their nails, make friendship bracelets, and play games like Life, Bop-It and Head Banz.
· Erika says it’s been so much fun getting to know Cora, lunch and recess time flies by!
Big Brothers Big Sisters defends the potential of youth in the Fargo-Moorhead area by matching kids with caring mentors, like Erika. There are currently 78 kids waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister, like you. In just four hours a month, you can help a child realize their biggest possible future. To volunteer, call 701-451-4877 or visit BBBSFargo.org.
