Fargo Park District Requests Christmas Tree Donations
The trees will be put in the Depot downtown and at Rheault Farm
FARGO, N.D. — It may seem too early to be talking about Christmas, but staff with the Fargo Park District is already planning for the holiday season.
They are asking for Christmas tree donations for the Depot downtown and at Rheault Farm.
Trees should be a minimum of 20 feet tall, and the surrounding area must be clear so the Park District can access it with heavy equipment.
Families that donate the trees will be invited to attend the annual tree lighting at the Depot.
“It’s a good service, people love to see their tree downtown. If they don’t want the tree anymore, they can know it’s going to a good cause and at least be used at least one more time for something special that signifies that the holiday season is here in Fargo and downtown,” Sam DeMarais, Fargo Park District Forester, said.
If you are interested in donating a tree, you can contact at DeMarais at sdemarais@fargoparks.com before Oct. 15.
